This capital infusion validates the company's technical approach. Its core innovation isn't another AI model, but a proprietary software platform. This system analyzes grid conditions in real-time and automatically adjusts a data center's power consumption accordingly.

The Mechanics of Load Shifting

Think of it as making data center power usage elastic.

  • Contraction During Peak Times: When the grid is stressed and electricity prices are high, the software intelligently scales down or delays non-critical computing workloads. This reduces immediate power draw, providing relief to the grid.
  • Expansion During Off-Peak Times: At night or when renewable energy is abundant, the software schedules deferrable computing tasks to capitalize on cheaper, cleaner power.
