Altman Addresses AI Tool Controversy

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman recently responded to Elon Musk’s comment suggesting people should avoid letting loved ones use ChatGPT.

He pointed out that nearly a billion people use the tool globally, including many in vulnerable mental states. The company strives to protect these users while ensuring restrictions don’t prevent others from benefiting.

Autonomous Driving Safety Concerns

Altman also mentioned that over 50 deaths have been linked to autonomous driving systems. He recalled trying a car with the feature enabled years ago and immediately felt it was not up to safety standards.

As for certain decisions made by Musk’s AI model Grok, Altman said he prefers not to comment, calling the logic behind them perplexing.
