Home of Binance Executive Targeted in Break-in

A recent incident in Val-de-Marne, France, saw three masked men attempt to rob the residence of a senior Binance executive. The attackers entered the apartment building early in the morning, seeking the executive's home.

Before reaching their intended target, the suspects forced their way into another resident's home to gather information. They later searched the cryptocurrency executive's apartment, but upon finding it unoccupied, stole two mobile phones before fleeing the scene.

Mistaken Attack and Police Response

Later that morning, the same three individuals attacked a resident in Vaucresson, possibly mistaking them for another crypto entrepreneur. Law enforcement quickly launched an investigation, using surveillance footage and phone signal tracking to locate the suspects.

  • Initial break-in to obtain executive's details
  • Target not found, phones stolen
  • Additional attack on mistaken individual
  • Arrests made at Lyon Perrache train station

Suspects Now in Custody

All three suspects have now been taken into custody in France, with investigations ongoing. The incident has also raised concerns about the personal safety of individuals working in the cryptocurrency industry.
