Binance Announces Major Changes to Ukrainian Hryvnia (UAH) Services

Binance, a leading global cryptocurrency exchange, has revealed significant updates to its services involving the Ukrainian hryvnia (UAH). This move will impact users who rely on this fiat currency for trading and asset management on the platform.

Key Dates and Service Adjustments

The changes will be implemented in a phased manner:

• Service Suspension: Effective September 28, 2023, at 15:00 (UTC+8), Binance will disable all UAH deposit and withdrawal functions via its fiat trading platform.
• Trading Pair Delisting: Concurrently, the USDT/UAH spot trading pair will be removed from the exchange. Users will no longer be able to trade directly between UAH and USDT after this time.

Automatic Conversion of User Balances

Binance has outlined a clear process for handling remaining UAH balances in user accounts.

Before October 1, 2023, at 00:00 (UTC+8), the platform will automatically convert all eligible UAH holdings to USDT at a fixed rate of 1 USDT = 46.5 UAH. This automatic conversion is designed to streamline the transition for users and ensure a smooth handling of assets.
