Binance Delists Select USDC Pairs in Market Optimization Move
The leading global exchange has announced the removal of seven spot trading pairs quoted against USDC, effective 11:00 AM Beijing Time on September 25. The affected pairs include AIXBT/USDC, ENJ/USDC, and five others.
Behind the Decision: Regular Market Review
According to the exchange, the delisting is part of its routine market surveillance process. Teams periodically evaluate all listed trading pairs against a set of performance criteria, with a strong focus on liquidity depth, trading volume, and overall market health. Pairs that consistently fail to meet operational standards are subject to removal.
“We are committed to maintaining a high-quality trading environment for our users,” the notice stated. “Periodic reviews and optimizations of our trading pair listings are essential to this commitment.”
What Does This Mean for Your Holdings?
It’s crucial to understand that the delisting applies only to the specific trading pairs, not the underlying tokens themselves. Here’s the practical impact:
- Your assets are safe. If you hold any of these tokens, they will remain in your account.
- The tokens continue to be tradeable on the spot market, just not directly with USDC.
- You can switch to other available trading pairs for these tokens, such as those paired with USDT, BTC, or ETH.
Critical Note: Trading Bot Services Will Halt
Aligned with the delisting, the platform’s automated spot trading bot services—including Grid Trading and Recurring Buy—for these pairs will be discontinued.
If you have active bot strategies tied to any of the affected pairs, you must update or cancel them before September 25. Strategies left unmodified may generate errors or cease functioning once the pair is removed, potentially leading to losses. Users are advised to review their automated trading settings promptly.
