Binance SAFU Fund Buys Additional 3600 BTC, Holding Value Hits $403 Million

SAFU Fund Continues Bitcoin Accumulation

On February 6, blockchain tracking platform Arkham detected that Binance's SAFU Fund made another major purchase of 3600 BTC, valued at approximately $233 million. This brings the fund’s total BTC holdings to 6230, with a total value reaching $403 million.

Recap of Stablecoin Reserve Transition Plan

Back on January 30, Binance announced a strategic shift to convert its $1 billion stablecoin reserve into Bitcoin. The transition is expected to be completed within 30 days. In case of market volatility causing the BTC reserve value to drop below $800 million, Binance pledged to replenish the fund to restore the reserve level to $1 billion.
