Binance to Support Metal DAO Network Upgrade and Hard Fork
Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has announced its support for the upcoming Metal DAO (MTL) network upgrade and hard fork. This technical process is designed to enhance network performance and security.
Service Suspension Schedule
To ensure a smooth upgrade, Binance will temporarily suspend deposit and withdrawal services for the MTL network starting at 15:00 UTC on July 8.
The network upgrade and hard fork are scheduled to commence at approximately 16:00 UTC. Users are advised to complete any necessary transactions before the suspension period begins.
Trading Remains Unaffected
A key point for users is that MTL spot trading will not be impacted during this period. Buying and selling MTL can continue as normal on the exchange.
Service Resumption Process
Deposit and withdrawal services will be reinstated once the following conditions are met:
- The network upgrade and hard fork are fully completed.
- The upgraded network is confirmed to be operating stably.
Binance has stated that no further announcement will be made once services resume. Users can check the status directly on the platform or monitor their wallets.
