This figure falls dramatically short of the proposal's 55% voluntary activation threshold. Saylor emphasized that given these statistics, this cannot be considered miner consensus, but rather appears as an isolated phenomenon within a particular technical environment.

Saylor raised concerns about how the proposal was being promoted. He noted that a major mining pool had set BIP-110 signaling as the default option for its users. Meanwhile, the proposal's official documentation directed node operators to a specific Bitcoin implementation and miners to particular mining software.

This targeted guidance makes the entire effort resemble a vertically integrated marketing campaign for specific software stacks, rather than a neutral technical discussion. Such bundled promotion strategies may have influenced the authenticity of the reported support levels.

The extremely low signaling rate suggests BIP-110 is unlikely to gain meaningful traction. Bitcoin network upgrades historically require broad community consensus, with miner support being particularly crucial.
