Bitcoin Spot ETFs Notch Third Week of Inflows, Showcasing Resilience
Bitcoin spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs) extended their positive momentum, attracting approximately $33.79 million in net new capital during the trading week of July 20-24. This marks the third consecutive week of net inflows, reinforcing a trend of steady institutional participation despite broader market fluctuations.
A Split in Fund Flows: Leaders and Laggards
The overall net inflow figure masks a divergence in investor preferences across different fund offerings.
Top Inflow Performers
- Grayscale Bitcoin Mini Trust (BTC) led the pack, drawing $85.78 million in net inflows last week. Since its launch, the fund has accumulated over $2.65 billion in total net inflows.
- Ark 21Shares Bitcoin ETF (ARKB) followed closely, securing $78.73 million in weekly net inflows. Its lifetime net inflows now stand at $13.3 billion.
Notable Outflow
In contrast, BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) experienced net outflows of $95.9 million for the week. However, IBIT maintains a commanding position with lifetime net inflows totaling $60.39 billion, underscoring its sustained popularity since inception.
The Bigger Picture: Growing Market Footprint
Aggregate net assets across all Bitcoin spot ETFs have climbed to $77.82 billion. This substantial sum now represents about 6.05% of Bitcoin's total market capitalization, highlighting the growing significance of regulated investment vehicles in the digital asset ecosystem.
Cumulatively, these ETFs have seen total net inflows reach $51.39 billion. The sustained inflow streak suggests that demand for regulated Bitcoin exposure remains robust, with institutions and investors continuing to allocate capital through these structured products.
