Bitdeer AI Deepens Commitment to Southeast Asian AI Infrastructure

In a significant move to bolster its artificial intelligence cloud capabilities, Bitdeer AI, a subsidiary of the established digital asset and high-performance computing company Bitdeer, has finalized a major agreement in Malaysia. The deal centers on the development of a new, high-performance data center dedicated to AI cloud services.

Key Project Details and Timeline

The eight-year agreement outlines the construction of a facility known as the A103 AI Cloud Data Center, with a planned power capacity of 60 megawatts (MW). This infrastructure is specifically designed to support intensive AI training and inference workloads. Operations are scheduled to commence in the first quarter of 2028, positioning the center as a future-ready hub for AI compute services in the region.

Creating a Consolidated Compute Campus

The new A103 facility will integrate with Bitdeer AI's existing A101 and A102 data centers located within the same technology park. Together, they will form an expanded Cyberjaya compute campus. Upon integration, the total power capacity of this campus is set to increase significantly, reaching approximately 71.5 MW. This consolidation aims to create a more robust and scalable high-performance computing cluster.

Advancing a Global Capacity Roadmap

The Malaysia project represents concrete progress in Bitdeer AI's global expansion strategy. The company had previously announced a goal to secure 350 MW of AI cloud capacity worldwide. With the A103 deal secured, its total locked capacity now stands at 333.5 MW, indicating it has achieved roughly 95% of this target. The rapid advancement of these projects underscores Bitdeer AI's effective execution of its business vision. The total scale of its ongoing and pipeline AI cloud initiatives now exceeds $10 billion, reflecting its substantial footprint and long-term ambition in the global AI infrastructure landscape.
