Bithumb Announces ZEST/KRW Trading Pair
In a recent official announcement, the South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb revealed plans to list Zest Protocol (ZEST) for trading against the Korean Won (KRW). This move provides a direct fiat gateway for local traders to access the ZEST token.
Network Support and Timeline
A key technical detail for this listing is that deposit and withdrawal services for ZEST will be exclusively available on the BNB Smart Chain network. Transfers from other blockchain networks will not be credited, so users must verify their network selection carefully.
Deposit and withdrawal functions are scheduled to open approximately two hours after the announcement. Trading for the ZEST/KRW pair is set to commence at 14:00 KST on October 12, 2026.
Trading Parameters and Safety Measures
Bithumb has implemented several specific parameters and safeguards to ensure an orderly market launch:
- Listing Price: The initial benchmark price for ZEST is set at 262 KRW.
- Deposit Confirmations: A total of 15 network confirmations are required for deposits to be credited.
- Initial Trading Restriction: For the first 5 minutes after trading opens, only sell orders will be accepted; buy orders will be disabled to mitigate opening volatility.
- Price Bands: During the initial phase, sell order prices are restricted to be either below -10% or above +100% of the benchmark price. This means sell orders must be priced below 235.8 KRW or above 524 KRW.
- Order Type Limit: For approximately the first two hours, the market will only accept limit orders, with market orders temporarily unavailable.
Collectively, these measures form a stabilization buffer designed to maintain market integrity during the initial listing period. Traders are advised to review all rules before participating.
