Caroline Ellison to Be Released Today

According to the latest records from the U.S. Federal Bureau of Prisons, former co-CEO of Alameda Research, Caroline Ellison, will complete her incarceration and leave federal custody today. Earlier, she was transferred to community confinement from a Connecticut facility in October 2025.

Update on SEC Legal Proceedings

On December 20, 2025, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announced that former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried remains in custody following fraud-related convictions. Meanwhile, several former executives, including Caroline Ellison, have reached a settlement agreement with the SEC, pending court approval.

In addition to Ellison, Zixiao Wang, former CTO of FTX Trading, and Nishad Singh, former co-chief engineer at FTX, have also signed settlement agreements, indicating a broader restructuring in executive accountability.
