Claude Code Shifts to Automated Security by Default

Beginning August 14, the Claude Code feature for Pro, Max, and Team plan subscribers will operate under a new default security configuration. The automated mode identified 89% of dangerous commands during evaluation, compared to just 14% caught under human-reviewed approaches. This sixfold increase in detection capability represents a major step forward in AI-assisted coding security.
