Coinbase Trading Pairs Update: Selective Suspension of Non-USD Pairs
Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase has announced an update to its trading pairs. Effective August 6, the platform will suspend trading for six specific non-USD denominated trading pairs.
Affected Trading Pairs
The suspension applies to the following pairs:
- LSETH-ETH
- MINA-EUR
- GRT-GBP
- MASK-GBP
- CHZ-USDT
- CRO-USDT
Scope of the Update and User Impact
Coinbase clarified that this action specifically targets these non-USD pairs. For users in eligible regions, the underlying assets will remain accessible for trading via USD order books on Coinbase Advanced Trade.
This indicates that while trading for these particular currency pairings (such as those priced in EUR or GBP) will be halted, the tokens themselves are not being delisted. Market analysts view this as part of the exchange's routine process for managing and optimizing trading liquidity across its markets.
