In total, the emergency service confirmed 33 fatalities and 18 injuries from the event. Those wounded were transported to local hospitals, with some reported to be in serious condition.
Context and Aftermath
Kramatorsk, located near the eastern front lines, has been subject to repeated attacks since the escalation of the conflict. This latest incident, which appears to have targeted civilian transport, has raised renewed concerns about the safety of non-combatants in the war zone.
Ukrainian authorities have condemned the strike as an attack on civilians. Rescue and investigative teams remain on site as details regarding the specific nature of the weaponry used are still being assessed.
