Unfruitful Meeting, Clear Stance from Erik Zhang

On January 26, Erik Zhang revealed in a public statement that his recent meeting with DaHongfei yielded no meaningful progress. Despite proposing a framework for limited cooperation, no substantial response was given on critical issues.

Three Core Demands Rejected

To promote sustainable development of the NEO ecosystem, Zhang outlined three essential conditions:

  • Implement a transparent and auditable financial oversight system
  • Discontinue the EON project, which competes directly with NEO
  • Grant authorization to publish updates via official website and X (Twitter) accounts

All three were directly denied, prompting Zhang to question Da's commitment to genuine collaboration and ecosystem growth.

Call for Leadership Change

Zhang stated that under Da's leadership, NEO has gradually lost relevance in recent years. Given the current circumstances, he formally urged Da to step down from his leadership role within the NEO ecosystem, opening the door for potential renewal.
