Ethena Proactively Discloses Reserve Proof, USDe Overcollateralized by $60M+

Following recent market movements, Ethena took the initiative on October 30th to release detailed proof of reserves for its synthetic dollar stablecoin, USDe. This ad-hoc update, diverging from the usual weekly disclosure cycle, directly addresses community concerns and enhances transparency.

Independent Third-Party Verification of Collateral Status

According to the released information, Ethena's reserve proof is verified by independent third parties including Chainlink and Llama Risk. These entities confirm that USDe remains overcollateralized, with an excess exceeding $60 million, resulting in a collateral ratio above 101.0%.

Clarity on Backing Asset Custody Strategy

A key risk management detail highlighted in the report is that the underlying assets backing USDe are not held directly in custody accounts on Binance or any other centralized exchange (CEX). This structure aims to isolate operational risks associated with exchanges, with all funds confirmed to be secure.

This disclosure move signals Ethena's effort to build market confidence through increased operational transparency and asset security, particularly at a time when sensitivity to centralized counterparty risk is elevated.
