Pillar of a Three-Tier Infrastructure
ERC-8126 is designed as a core component of a tri-layered infrastructure for the AI agent economy, complementing ERC-8004 for decentralized identity and ERC-8183 for commercial logic. Its primary role is to provide a universal system for assessing the trustworthiness and risk profile of any AI agent.
Comprehensive Risk Assessment Across Five Axes
The framework introduces a multi-faceted validation system, evaluating agents across five critical dimensions:
- Ethereum Token Validation (ETV): Audits the status and compliance of associated token assets.
- Media Content Validation (MCV): Verifies the authenticity and provenance of content generated or handled.
- Solidity Code Validation (SCV): Inspects the security and integrity of the underlying smart contract code.
- Web Application Validation (WAV): Assesses the security of front-end interfaces or web applications.
- Wallet Validation (WV): Checks the reputation and history of controlling cryptocurrency addresses.
Each validation returns a risk score from 0 to 100, categorized into five severity levels from Low to Severe, offering clear and actionable insights for users.
Privacy-Preserving and Future-Proof Design
A key innovation of ERC-8126 is its integration of zero-knowledge proofs. This allows agents to demonstrate compliance with specific criteria without exposing sensitive underlying data, effectively reconciling transparency with privacy needs.
The proposal also demonstrates forward-thinking design by including an optional extension interface for Quantum Cryptography Validation (QCV). This prepares the standard for future cryptographic challenges posed by advances in quantum computing, ensuring its long-term relevance.
