FedEx Accelerates Digital Transformation of Supply Chains

Recently, logistics leader FedEx officially joined the Hedera Network council, collaborating with companies like Google, IBM, and Dell to advance the application and development of distributed ledger technology. This marks a significant step in FedEx’s journey toward digitizing global supply chains.

Building a Trusted Data-Sharing Ecosystem

By operating network nodes and participating in governance, FedEx aims to achieve 'digital speed' in supply chain operations, moving away from outdated paper-based workflows. Vishal Talwar, Chief Digital and Information Officer, emphasized that as supply chains become increasingly digitized, trusted data must be securely shared and verified across multiple parties without introducing new risks or centralized control.

Synergies Between Technology and Logistics

The Hedera Network council also includes major companies such as LG Electronics, Deutsche Telekom, and Ubisoft Entertainment, spanning industries from technology to telecommunications and gaming. FedEx’s participation will further foster cross-industry collaboration and contribute to building a more efficient and transparent global supply chain ecosystem.
