Major Security Incident Resolved
The Flow Foundation has officially confirmed the full resolution of the recent major security incident. A total of 874 billion fake FLOW tokens have been permanently destroyed, marking the complete technical remediation of the event.
Community Governance and On-chain Execution
The token destruction was executed by the community governance council on-chain. All seized counterfeit assets have been permanently removed from circulation, in line with the independently reviewed recovery plan disclosed earlier. The transparent and efficient process highlights the effectiveness of decentralized governance.
Rapid Response and Security Enhancements
Within 24 hours of the incident, validator nodes successfully deployed critical security patches, ensuring the network returned to normal operations swiftly. Additional security measures have also been integrated into the protocol to mitigate future threats.
Network Health Restored
Network data confirms that Flow has returned to a fully healthy state. Over the past week, more than 3 million transactions were processed, with all core DeFi protocols functioning normally and ecosystem activity remaining strong.
Focus Shifts to Ecosystem Expansion
With all security repairs completed, Flow is now prioritizing ecosystem growth and product development, aiming to enhance platform capabilities and user experience.
