France Enhances Mediterranean Military Deployment

French President Macron announced on March 3 that the French aircraft carrier will be deployed to the Mediterranean Sea to address the current instability in the Middle East.

Call for Diplomatic Resolution of Conflict

Macron stressed that regional peace should be achieved through the resumption of diplomatic negotiations, urging all parties to cease military actions as soon as possible. He noted that actions by the US and Israel fall outside the framework of international law and may pose threats to the security environment in both the Middle East and Europe.

Oppose Ground Military Actions

Macron also stated that any ground military operation by Israel in Lebanon would be seen as a dangerous escalation and could further worsen the situation.

Strengthen Domestic Security Measures

At the same time, France’s domestic military protection operation, Operation Sentinel, has been reinforced, with upgraded security measures for critical infrastructure to address potential security threats.
