Iran Launches Missile Attack on Israel
According to an assessment released by the Israeli military on February 28, Iran launched around 150 ballistic missiles toward Israel since the early morning. Some of these were intercepted by air defense systems, while the rest landed in open areas, causing minimal damage.
Air Defense Systems Engaged
Israel’s missile defense systems played a key role, successfully intercepting several incoming missiles. However, debris from both the missiles and interceptors scattered across various regions of Israel, leading to minor damage in some locations.
Drone Offensive Also Intercepted
In addition to missiles, Iran deployed dozens of attack drones. The Israeli military reported shooting down more than a dozen of these drones, preventing them from reaching their intended targets.
Iranian Media Claims High Success Rate
Iranian outlets, citing anonymous sources, claimed that over 90% of the missiles hit their intended targets. While this assertion remains unverified, it has increased regional tensions and raised concerns about further escalations.
