Market Warning: The Trap Behind the Headlines
Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, recently issued a significant caution to financial market participants via social media. He highlighted that the so-called "exclusive news" or "inside truth" widely circulated before market opening is frequently not genuine value information, but rather a carefully orchestrated profit-taking trap set by certain market actors.
The Practical Logic of Contrarian Indicators
Ghalibaf elaborated that the nature of such news often serves as a contrarian signal. He outlined a clear reverse-operation strategy:
- When bullish news drives a rapid price surge, it may signal that behind-the-scenes promoters are preparing to exit, suggesting a potential short or sell opportunity.
- When panic-selling narratives suddenly emerge, unreasonably depressing prices, it might instead create a buying or long position opportunity.
He stressed that understanding this "go against the grain" logic helps investors cut through market noise and discern true intent. When similar scenarios recur, seasoned traders can respond swiftly.
