Iran Vows to Hunt Trump and Netanyahu Beyond the Battlefield

A senior spokesman for Iran's armed forces has delivered a stark declaration, indicating that Tehran's pursuit of former US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will extend far beyond the conclusion of any current hostilities.

A Lasting Pursuit

Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi labeled both leaders as "murderers" who must face punishment. "The end of the war does not mean the end of our pursuit. We will not let go of Trump, Netanyahu, and their accomplices. They must pay the price for their actions, whether they remain in power or not," he stated, framing the issue as a matter of enduring justice for Iran.

Strategic Warning to the United States

The spokesman's comments also outlined Iran's strategic demands in the region. He asserted that Tehran would not permit the United States to reclaim its former dominant position within any emerging world order.

Addressing the US military presence directly, he declared, "Their only safe path is a complete withdrawal from the Middle East. The sooner they leave, the fewer losses they will incur." This positions the US military footprint itself as a core point of contention.

The Strait of Hormuz Ultimatum

The most pointed warning concerned the Strait of Hormuz, a vital global oil chokepoint. "The Americans may dream of intervening in the Strait of Hormuz," Shekarchi said. "But if they dare to meddle there, they will receive a resounding slap in the face." The metaphorical language underscores Iran's readiness to defend the waterway with force.

This rhetoric emerges amid prolonged regional tensions. Observers suggest it serves a dual purpose: as a propaganda effort against strategic adversaries and as an attempt to shape the post-conflict narrative. By decoupling the pursuit of individuals from the state of war, Iran signals its intent to treat such actions as a perpetual national policy.
