Israel Acknowledges Failure to Eliminate Iranian Leadership
Israeli media reported the country's initial evaluation of the recent military strike against Iran's leadership, concluding that the attempt to eliminate Supreme Leader Khamenei and President Pezeshkian did not achieve its intended outcome. Despite clear targeting, the mission failed to meet its objectives.
Iran Confirms Safety of Top Officials
Iranian authorities confirmed both Khamenei and Pezeshkian were unharmed during the attack. Iranian news outlets reported that the president remained safe throughout, while Khamenei had already been moved to a secure location outside Tehran prior to the strike.
Broad Range of Targets Identified
An Israeli official revealed that the operation was not limited to Iran's top two leaders but also included the residences of key ministers and military commanders, as well as strategic sites such as the Ministry of Defense, intelligence facilities, and the presidential palace. The area near Khamenei's office was also struck.
International Media Coverage
According to Reuters, citing an Iranian official, Khamenei had been relocated before the attack, reducing the chances of success. Meanwhile, Mehr News Agency emphasized that President Pezeshkian was never in danger and remained secure throughout the incident.
