LayerZero has officially launched its institutional-grade blockchain, Zero, designed for financial markets. The blockchain leverages a novel heterogeneous architecture combined with zero-knowledge proof technology, offering a theoretical throughput of 2 million transactions per second with fees as low as a millionth of a dollar.

LayerZero is actively collaborating with major financial institutions. DTCC is exploring the use of Zero to scale its tokenization and collateral management initiatives, while ICE, the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange, is researching applications for 24/7 trading and tokenized collateral.
