TON Ecosystem Drives Telegram's Revenue Growth
According to recent reports, Telegram achieved $870 million in revenue during the first half of 2023, marking a 65% year-over-year increase. This significant growth is partly attributed to the rapid development of the TON ecosystem. TON, Telegram's blockchain project, has not only enhanced user engagement but also generated substantial revenue for the company.
TONX Emerges as Main Buyer with Long-Term Holding Strategy
Manuel Stotz, Chairman of the Board of Directors at TONX, revealed that the majority of TON tokens sold by Telegram were purchased by TONX for long-term holding and staking purposes. This strategy reflects TONX's strong confidence in the future of the TON ecosystem and its commitment to supporting its growth.
Four-Year Vesting Period Ensures Token Stability
It is also worth noting that all TON tokens sold by Telegram come with a four-year vesting period. This mechanism helps maintain token stability and prevents short-term market fluctuations. Stotz emphasized that despite selling over $450 million worth of TON tokens, Telegram's net holdings have not significantly decreased and may have even increased.
