Loopscale Issues Safety Update on Fund Vaults

Loopscale, a leading lending protocol built on the Solana network, has released a detailed statement addressing recent community concerns regarding asset security. The protocol firmly clarified that it operates independently and has no direct financial integration or exposure to the Drift protocol.

Primary Vaults Remain Secure

The announcement confirmed that the vast majority of capital within the Loopscale ecosystem is held securely. Key vaults, including the widely used USDC Genesis and USDC OnRe pools, are completely unaffected by any external protocol risks and continue to operate normally, ensuring user confidence.

Precautionary Actions on Specific Vault

In line with its commitment to rigorous risk management, Loopscale's internal review identified that approximately $170,000 worth of assets within the SOL Genesis vault were allocated to the MarginFi lending protocol. A minimal portion of these assets might be indirectly linked to certain collateral positions on Drift, via a borrower identified as Project0.

While no actual losses have occurred and the potential exposure is considered extremely limited, the team has decided to enact proactive safeguards.

Temporary Service Pause and User Protection

As a preventive control measure, Loopscale has temporarily disabled deposit and withdrawal functions for three vaults: SOL Genesis, JitoSOL ONE, and wETH ONE. This is a temporary pause, allowing the team to conduct a comprehensive risk assessment and await full stabilization of the related third-party protocol environment.

The protocol has provided a strong guarantee: should any user funds suffer losses due to the aforementioned indirect exposure during this precautionary period, Loopscale will provide full compensation from its treasury, ensuring zero loss for its users.

Next Steps and Path Forward

The Loopscale team is continuously monitoring the situation and maintaining open channels with industry counterparts. The paused vault services will be promptly restored once all potential risk vectors are confirmed to be mitigated and the external operational environment is normalized. The team reiterated that protecting user assets and ensuring the protocol's long-term health remain its top priorities.
