Micron Unveils Multi-Billion Dollar U.S. Manufacturing Roadmap

The company announced plans to substantially increase its capital expenditure within the United States, targeting a cumulative investment of over $250 billion by the year 2035. Core Objective: 40% of Global DRAM Output from U.S. Soil

The massive financial commitment is tied to a concrete production goal. Micron aims to elevate the proportion of its DRAM memory chips manufactured in the United States to 40% of its worldwide output by a defined future milestone. Job Creation: Tens of Thousands of New Roles

The investment is set to be a major employment driver. Its planned advanced fabrication project in New York State alone is projected to generate approximately 50,000 jobs, including roughly 9,000 direct, high-skilled positions at the company. Across multiple U.S. projects, Micron expects to create more than 90,000 jobs in total, spanning engineering, technical support, construction, and ancillary services.
