Policy Background and Key Objectives
To accelerate the deep integration of industrial internet and artificial intelligence, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has officially released the Action Plan on Integrating Industrial Internet and Artificial Intelligence. The plan aims to significantly enhance AI’s industrial support capabilities and drive the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries by 2028.
Industry Development and Enterprise Upgrades
The plan outlines expanding the scale of next-generation industrial networks in key sectors such as raw materials, equipment manufacturing, consumer goods, and electronic information. It emphasizes the need to promote network upgrades and intelligent transformation in no fewer than 50,000 enterprises, meeting the high-throughput, low-latency, and high-reliability communication demands of AI applications.
Data Infrastructure and Resource Sharing
In terms of industrial data governance, the plan highlights the establishment of a comprehensive system for data aggregation, management, circulation, and sharing. High-quality data sets will be developed across 20 key industries to provide robust data support for intelligent applications.
Industrial Chain Collaboration and Solution Development
To promote collaborative innovation along the supply chain, the plan proposes cultivating a group of intelligent solution providers. These entities will focus on critical links and typical application scenarios, helping enterprises of all sizes upgrade together and optimize resource allocation.
