OKX Releases 47th Proof of Reserves, Showcasing Robust Asset Growth
OKX has published its 47th Proof of Reserves report, based on a snapshot from September 8th. This regular transparency disclosure continues to demonstrate the platform's commitment to secure asset custody and user fund safety.
Substantial Increase in User Bitcoin Holdings
A key highlight from the report is the notable growth in user Bitcoin holdings under custody. Compared to the previous snapshot dated August 11th, the total amount of user BTC held increased by 4.07%, representing an addition of 5,466 BTC. This brings the total holdings to 139,865 BTC, indicating user asset movements amid recent market conditions.
Comprehensive Over-Collateralization Across Assets
The report covers 22 major digital assets, all of which maintain reserve ratios above 100%. This confirms that the value of assets held by the platform exceeds the value of user deposits.
- Bitcoin (BTC): Leads with a 109% reserve ratio, indicating significant over-collateralization.
- Ethereum (ETH): Maintains a stable 101% reserve ratio.
- Tether (USDT): Holds a 105% reserve ratio, while user USDT balances grew 4.62% to approximately 8.493 billion tokens.
Other tokens, including USDC, XRP, DOGE, SOL, and OKB, also sustained reserve coverage above 100%. The total value of key assets under custody during the reporting period was approximately $27.4 billion.
Enhanced Technology for Transparency Verification
Aligning with its previous practices, OKX employed zero-knowledge proof technology to ensure privacy and security during the verification process. Notably, this report utilized an upgraded zk-STARK v2 protocol. This technology enables any user to independently verify that the platform holds the assets it claims, without exposing sensitive data details, thereby enhancing the reliability of the audit and user trust.
The periodic publication of Proof of Reserves has become a standard practice for major exchanges to demonstrate financial health and operational transparency. By consistently releasing these third-party-verified data points, OKX aims to communicate its secure and reliable fund management practices to users and the broader market.
