Robinhood Chain Mainnet Is Live: A New Chapter for Decentralized Finance

The much-anticipated Robinhood Chain has officially launched its public mainnet. This Layer 2 network, built on the Arbitrum Orbit stack, is designed to deliver faster and more cost-effective transactions. Leading DeFi protocols like Uniswap are among its first ecosystem partners, providing crucial initial liquidity.

Flagship Products: Stock Tokens and Perpetual Contracts

Coinciding with the mainnet launch, Robinhood introduced its innovative stock tokens. This feature enables eligible users from over 120 countries and regions to trade tokenized stock assets 24/7 directly through the Robinhood Wallet. It's important to note that this service is not currently available to users in the United States.

For derivatives trading, the updated wallet integrates with the Lighter decentralized exchange's perpetual futures market in select regions. To incentivize early adoption, Robinhood is offering a compelling promotion: users will enjoy fully subsidized gas fees and waived trading fees on perpetual contracts for the first 90 days.

Ecosystem Growth and Future Roadmap

Beyond the mainnet, Robinhood's financial ecosystem continues to expand. Its yield product, Robinhood Earn, is now live in the United States. This service leverages the Morpho lending protocol, is backed by the USDG stablecoin, and offers users an estimated 7% APY, complete with insurance protection.

On the global front, Robinhood is executing an aggressive expansion strategy. The company has announced its official entry into the Canadian market. Simultaneously, its Singapore entity has secured a Major Payment Institution license from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), ensuring compliant operations in Asia.

Perhaps most intriguing is its technological roadmap. Robinhood has indicated plans to soon launch an AI-powered agent trading function in the U.S. market, signaling a move towards a more automated and intelligent trading experience.
