Robinhood Chain’s Strong First Week: $70M+ ETH Bridged, ETH Emerges as Core Economic Engine
Robinhood Chain has made a notable entrance into the blockchain space, with on-chain metrics from its inaugural week pointing to significant early traction. Within the first seven days of its launch, the total value of Ethereum (ETH) bridged to the chain surpassed $70 million, signaling robust initial capital deployment and user confidence.
Surging User Activity and Capital Inflows
Data from Token Terminal reveals that Robinhood Chain is already attracting nearly 194,000 daily active users. The chain’s daily revenue has climbed to $39,000, projecting an annualized run rate of approximately $14 million if current activity levels persist.
The capital inflow has been particularly striking. According to DefiLlama, the chain’s Total Value Locked (TVL) has reached 46,748 ETH (around $83 million). A significant portion of this growth occurred on July 9 alone, which saw a single-day net inflow of 31,855 ETH (roughly $55 million), highlighting intense short-term market interest.
ETH: The Multifaceted Foundation of the Chain
Uniswap founder Hayden Adams highlighted ETH’s central role within the Robinhood Chain ecosystem. He noted that a majority of transactions on the chain are denominated in ETH, establishing it as the primary base trading pair, the highest-volume asset, and the network’s gas token.
Furthermore, ETH is utilized to pay for on-chain data storage fees, a mechanism that ties consumption directly to Layer 1. Analysts suggest this design creates a compelling demand cycle for ETH. As activity on Robinhood Chain grows, so does the inherent, utility-driven demand for its foundational asset, potentially providing sustained economic momentum for both the chain and ETH itself.
Robinhood Chain’s debut showcases impressive initial metrics regarding capital and users. The long-term test will be whether its ETH-centric economic model can consistently fuel healthy ecosystem expansion.
