Robinhood Wallet Expands Capabilities with New Token Swap Integration
Industry reports indicate that Robinhood Wallet has rolled out a significant upgrade. The wallet now integrates with the Arcus system, developed by the dYdX team, adding it as a key routing option for spot conversions of stock tokens. For users in eligible jurisdictions, this provides direct access to Arcus's liquidity and trade execution infrastructure, supporting swaps for a portfolio of more than 190 different stock tokens.
Inside the Arcus RFQ Model
Arcus operates differently from standard exchange models. At its core is a Request-for-Quote system. When a user initiates a swap, the platform solicits real-time price quotes from multiple participating market makers and presents the best available option. This design is intended to secure favorable pricing for end-users.
The service first launched on Robinhood Chain in July, starting with support for over 90 tokens. The recent expansion has more than doubled the available asset selection.
Platform Metrics and User Rewards
Arcus has shared notable statistics regarding its adoption and growth:
- Cumulative Trading Volume: Exceeding $5 billion
- Unique Traders: Over 15,000
- Total Value Locked: More than $28 million
The platform also features an incentive program. Users who complete eligible swaps can earn "Arcus Points," adding a layer of potential reward for frequent traders.
This integration marks a substantial broadening of asset accessibility for Robinhood Wallet users, bringing a wide array of equity-representative tokens within easy reach. As always, availability depends on the user's specific jurisdiction.
