Solflare Completes Validator Infrastructure Overhaul

Solana wallet provider Solflare has announced the full deployment of its new validator node cluster, marking a significant infrastructure upgrade following recent security concerns involving a third-party staking service provider.

Migration Options for Users

Current stakers have two pathways to transition their assets:

  • Manual Migration: Unstake from "Solflare (Legacy)" and restake directly to the new validator address via wallet interface
  • Automated Process: Wait for upcoming app updates to trigger a streamlined three-step migration workflow

Reward Compensation Protocol

To address potential yield interruptions during transition, Solflare has implemented a compensation framework:

All staking rewards missed due to technical migration will be calculated based on historical smart contract data and distributed as supplementary payments. The compensation mechanism operates at epoch-level granularity, ensuring users bear zero financial impact from the infrastructure upgrade.

The technical team noted that the new validator nodes feature enhanced hardware configurations and optimized network topology, promising improved block production stability and reduced fee consumption. Historical yield data on user dashboards will synchronize within 72 hours post-migration.
