Traditional Finance Deepens Push into Decentralized Assets
PostFinance, the financial arm of Swiss Post, has significantly upgraded its digital investment platform by integrating six major blockchain networks: Algorand, Arbitrum, NEAR Protocol, Stellar, USDC, and Sui. This move underscores a growing trend of established financial institutions embracing next-generation digital assets while maintaining regulatory compliance and user security.
Portfolio Now Covers 22 Leading Digital Assets
With this expansion, the platform now supports 22 tradeable digital assets, ranging from smart contract platforms to stablecoins and payment networks. Clients can seamlessly buy, sell, and hold these assets through their existing banking infrastructure, backed by institutional-grade custody and risk management frameworks.
- High-performance blockchains added: Algorand, NEAR, Sui
- Top Layer-2 network included: Arbitrum
- Global payment-efficient chain: Stellar
- Major USD-pegged stablecoin: USDC
Since launching its crypto service in early 2024, PostFinance has recorded over 36,000 active investment accounts and more than 565,000 transactions, reflecting strong retail and institutional interest in regulated access to digital assets.
Experts view this expansion as part of a broader strategy to position traditional banks as gateways to the evolving web3 economy, combining trust, ease of use, and expanding asset choice to meet changing investor demands.
