FASE Foundation Launch: Tether's Swiss Non-Profit Focuses on Financial Safety and Inclusion
On October 27th, stablecoin issuer Tether announced the establishment of the non-profit FASE Foundation in Switzerland. Founding participants include industry leaders such as Bybit, Kraken, Chainalysis, Anchorage Digital, and the Solana Foundation.
Core Mission: Social Empowerment Across Three Pillars
The FASE Foundation will concentrate its efforts on three primary areas:
- Financial Scam Prevention: Developing practical tools to combat increasingly sophisticated online financial crimes.
- Financial Inclusion: Leveraging technological innovation to lower barriers to financial services.
- Aid for Human Trafficking Victims: Providing financial and resource support to victims.
Innovative Pilot: Exploring Stablecoins for Humanitarian Aid
The foundation has partnered with Prosper Global to explore new models for distributing humanitarian aid using stablecoins. An initial pilot program aims to reach up to 1 million people, testing the efficiency and transparency of digital currencies in emergency aid scenarios.
Youth Empowerment: Digital Safety Education for Millions
Beyond humanitarian aid, the foundation unveiled a larger-scale educational initiative: providing digital safety education and anti-scam tools to up to 10 million young people. This program is designed to equip the younger generation with essential risk prevention awareness in the digital finance environment.
The launch of the FASE Foundation signals a shift within the cryptocurrency industry from pure technological innovation toward broader social value creation. By uniting multiple major institutions, the project aims to develop systematic solutions in financial safety, inclusion, and humanitarian aid.
