Raven Closes Strategic Funding at $90 Million Valuation
Trading firm Raven has secured a strategic investment round, reaching a pre-money valuation of $90 million. The round saw participation from notable investors including Coinbase Ventures and CMCC Global, according to a CNBC report.
Expanding from Liquidity to Prediction Markets
Founded in 2023 by three former Wintermute employees, Raven initially focused on providing liquidity solutions for cryptocurrency trading.
Co-founder Petar Kostov highlighted a key market gap: smaller platforms often struggle to find reliable liquidity partners, while larger venues can face challenges in scaling their liquidity to meet sudden surges in demand. Raven aims to address this specific need.
The company has laid out plans for a significant expansion. Beginning in the second quarter of 2025, Raven will extend its services into the prediction markets arena. This move signals a strategic shift from a pure liquidity provider to a broader financial infrastructure player.
Funding History and Road Ahead
Prior to this strategic round, Raven raised early-stage capital. Its seed funding was led by Hack VC, with Wintermute Ventures also participating.
The successful back-to-back financing rounds provide Raven with substantial capital and validate investor confidence in its team, business model, and growth trajectory. The fresh capital is expected to fuel technology development, team growth, and the launch of its new market vertical.
