Trading Services for DRIFT Token to be Discontinued
In a recent official notice, Upbit has confirmed the removal of DRIFT from its list of supported digital assets. Starting at 15:00 Korea Standard Time on June 1st, all trading activities involving DRIFT will be permanently halted on the platform.
Reasons Behind the Delisting Decision
This move follows earlier regulatory flags raised by the exchange. DRIFT had previously been categorized under Upbit's 'Investment Caution' designation, alerting users to potential risks. Subsequent monitoring revealed unusual security patterns associated with the token, which ultimately led to the decision to terminate support.
To maintain the integrity and safety of its trading environment, Upbit will cease all DRIFT-related services, including:
- Deposits: No new DRIFT deposits will be accepted.
- Trading: All DRIFT trading pairs will be removed from the order books.
- Withdrawals: The ability to withdraw DRIFT tokens will be disabled.
Steps for Current Holders
Users currently holding DRIFT tokens on Upbit must take proactive measures before the deadline. The available options are:
- Sell DRIFT tokens on the open market prior to delisting.
- Withdraw DRIFT holdings to a private wallet or another supporting exchange.
Critical Reminder: After the specified cutoff time, all functionality for DRIFT on Upbit will become inaccessible. Assets not managed beforehand may be subject to restrictions, so timely action is strongly advised.
Investors are encouraged to review official communications from Upbit and complete any necessary asset transfers well in advance to avoid complications.
