Upbit Lists Four New Assets with Dual BTC and USDT Trading Pairs
In a move to diversify its offerings, the South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Upbit announced on August 21 the listing of four new digital assets: Biconomy, BubbleMaps, Nillion, and Ether.fi Gas. All four tokens will be available for trading against both Bitcoin and Tether, providing users with multiple entry points.
Deposit Networks and Launch Timeline
The deposits for these assets will be supported on two major blockchain networks. Biconomy, Nillion, and Ether.fi Gas deposits will be processed via the Ethereum network, while BubbleMaps will utilize the Solana network. Trading is scheduled to commence at 13:00 Korea Standard Time on August 21. Deposit services opened approximately two hours after the announcement was published.
Initial Trading Restrictions and Considerations
Upbit has implemented specific measures for the initial trading period. Buy orders will be disabled for the first five minutes after trading goes live. Following that, for about two hours, only limit orders will be accepted, with other order types temporarily unavailable. This phased approach is designed to ensure orderly market conditions during the launch.
The exchange also noted that if insufficient liquidity is observed around the listing time, the start of trading could be delayed. Users are advised to monitor official channels for any updates.
Broader Implications for the Market
Listing four assets simultaneously, each with both major trading pairs, signals Upbit's commitment to expanding its market depth. For traders, this introduces fresh opportunities to engage with emerging projects across different blockchain sectors.
By supporting deposits on both Ethereum and Solana, Upbit caters to a broad user base across two dominant ecosystems. As always, investors are encouraged to conduct thorough research on each project and remain mindful of the inherent volatility in cryptocurrency markets.
