Yi Lihua's Bitcoin Analysis: Key Levels to Watch Amid Market Uncertainty

Yi Lihua, founder of Liquid Capital, recently outlined his perspective on the current Bitcoin market. He has maintained a sidelined position since closing long positions around $86,000 in late September.

Avoiding the Fray in a Choppy Market

Yi noted that the market has repeatedly shown false breakout signals, followed by quick pullbacks, creating a pattern he describes as 'repeated long traps.' In such an environment, his approach is straightforward: stay out.

'Missing an opportunity is always better than making a mistake,' he emphasized, highlighting the importance of patience and avoiding forced trades during uncertain periods.

The $82,000 Line in the Sand

While Yi believes a market correction is needed, he has no intention of shorting. His analysis hinges on one critical technical level: $82,000.

A sustained break below this point, he suggests, could open the door to further declines, with Bitcoin potentially testing several support zones in sequence:

  • Primary Support: $79,000
  • Secondary Support: $75,000
  • Major Support: $71,000

The Consolidation Scenario

Beyond a direct correction, Yi presented an alternative path. Bitcoin might undergo an extended period of range-bound consolidation, using time to work off overbought conditions instead of a sharp price drop.

Regardless of which scenario plays out, Yi stated that Liquid Capital's current stance is to refrain from trading. The firm is neither establishing new long positions nor initiating shorts, preferring to wait for clearer signals from the market.

This 'bearish but not shorting' position encapsulates the caution among many institutional players—acknowledging downside risks while avoiding aggressive bets in a volatile and indecisive market structure.
